This place definitely has some of the best pastries in the area! Their crossiants and danishes are spot on, and if they ever have their kouign amann special, when you stop by you definitely should try one!
This place is a real deal bakery. Their Facebook page is filled with photos that make your mouth water. They cook their menu fresh everyday and you can taste it! I had the Cinnamon Rolls and a Blueberry Danish. The cinnamon rolls are out of this world the bread is so soft and the icing and cinnamon combination are what a cinnamon roll should be. They are huge! The blueberry danish is tastes like they picked the blueberries that morning and it will be very hard to choose the next time I go in to buy something. Also, the rainbow sprinkle chocolate chip cookies that are usually ready around 1pm everyday and are the size of your face (small exaggeration) but are worth a try if your a cookie person. 😁
Ordered their cranberry white chocolate scones for Christmas brunch. SUPERB...melt in your mouth good.
Lowder Bakery is fantastic! A cute neighborhood location and everything is really fresh! All of the pastries are full of flavor. Wonderful customer service and I also met the owners...nice people! Highly recommend!
I purchased a king cake about 3 years back and I did not like. However I purchased 1 yesterday. Which was a cream cheese mini king cake. When I tell you it's been the best 1 I have had in a long time! I am not sure what changed but I'm loving it! Keep this recipe 😋. I forgot to take a picture before cutting into it 😩

Debbie and Donna at Blossoms next door gave me a heavenly king cake. They are always bragging on your food and friendliness. And Blossoms is a very nice place to shop for flowers. The cake is gone so that tells you a lot about how good it was.
Went to Lowder today when I was searching for a coffee shop to get some work done only to go and see that it has no seating 😅 so just a heads up for anyone looking 👀 !!! There’s cofffeee though Couldn’t leave seeing all the yummy treats so went ahead and bought Chocolate Almond croissant 🥐-it was done to perfection with perfect layers,would be great if there was more chocolate in there though 😋🤗snickerdoodle 🍪-was soft perfectly done and delicious Churro Croissant 🥐 -my first time trying it and it didn’t disappoint,loved all the sugary goodness and cinnamon crust Everything was amazing and I totally get it why it’s the best baking shop in Shreveport..Will definitely come back to try more
Imagine your favorite pillow and how it feels just as your head is hitting it for the night. The comfort. The softness. How your head just settles in…. Today, I had the privilege of experiencing that feeling with a Lowder’s Chantilly King Cake. We stopped by to purchase one for a business lunch we were hosting and I never dreamed that it would be this amazing! Most king cakes I have eaten have a bit of density in the bread. That’s not a bad thing. It’s just something I expect when eating a king cake. That all changed today. My first bite into this glorious goodness yielded the adjective “pillowy.” The height and the softness of this delectable dessert was unexpected. My next thought was the ratio of strawberry filling to the cake itself was spot on! Whether or not I bother to eat a king cake is mostly determined by the amount of filling. I think my eyes rolled back in my head with every bite! I’ll take this king cake every day of the week until Mardi Gras season has ended, and then I’ll dream of it until the next year! It is worth the calories and worth the price!
